Classic. Got enough of the quilt in this to imagine the rest...and no shot of the quilting!

Quilt Festival 2008
This was my second time to Quilt Festival--the first was in 2000 after I got my quilt machine. After reviewing my pictures, I realized I take most of them to capture the quilting, so you'll have to view these quilts as a quilter!
This was an antique. If I remember right, it was from the mid-1800s. Gorgeous quilting and I love the colors.
I was sorry I didn't take a picture of the whole quilt. The interior was four large applique blocks. Gotta appreciate the picture I DID take of the quilting though!

This is Sharon Schamber's winning quilt. The quilt itself is pretty spectacular. The quilting was mind-blowing. I think I heard it has 25,000 yards of silk thread in it. The background is hand-dyed black cotton fabric. All the designs on it are made from the quilting in gold thread. The red was quilted in black. Just amazing. I really think they should declare her the winner next year as well. This was good enough for at least two years!
